The AI Backlash Keeps Growing Stronger
As many companies attempt to utilize AI to replace workers, and as AI slop continues to take over social media, the backlash rightfully grows.
Right now, though a growing number of Americans use ChatGPT, many people are sick of AI’s encroachment into their lives and are ready to fight back.
Anthropic’s Claude AI became a terrible business owner in experiment that got ‘weird’
And as much as companies would like to think that AI can take over work from employees, AI continues to prove that it isn’t anywhere near ready for real responsibility.
“If Anthropic were deciding today to expand into the in-office vending market, we would not hire Claudius,” Anthropic said of the experiment in its blog post.

For years, Meta trained its AI programs using the billions of public images uploaded by users onto Facebook and Instagram’s servers. Now, it’s also hoping to access the billions of images that users haven’t uploaded to those servers.
Can Good UX Protect Older Users From Digital Scams?
Good design is always the answer in my opinion. From roads to applications, it makes all the difference. And good UX may need to be how we prevent people from getting scammed, especially in the age of AI.
As UX designers, we focus on making things easy, intuitive, and accessible. But we can also shape how people understand risk.

The Reason Why Our Best Ideas Come to Us in the Shower
If you need more of an excuse to take a shower, go for a walk, or take a drive, then remember that your best ideas often come when your mind can shift to autopilot. I like to remind myself (and others) to take breaks often. Sometimes you can’t power through a problem, but need to just let it sit in your subconscious for a while.
Research shows you’re more likely to have a creative epiphany when you’re doing something monotonous, like fishing, exercising, or showering. Since these routines don’t require much thought, you flip to autopilot. This frees up your unconscious to work on something else. Your mind goes wandering, leaving your brain to quietly play a no-holds-barred game of free association.
