ChatGPT can turn bad writers into better ones
If you feel bad about using ChatGPT or other AI tools in your job, you shouldn’t. A recent study has found that employees who are using ChatGPT are producing better work comparatively.
The writers who chose to use ChatGPT took 40% less time to complete their tasks, and produced work that the assessors scored 18% higher in quality than that of the participants who didn’t use it.
The Art of Subtle Influence
For most of us, we need to be able to influence without always having direct authority. Interestly, addiction research can give us some insights:
in the 1970s, researchers developed a new approach called Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), which had a 70% success rate—more than twice as effective as confrontation or passivity.
What is CRAFT’s secret? It teaches people why the common strategies for encouraging change are counterproductive and offers a set of evidence-based skills to help people connect with their own desire to change—and these same skills can be applied in the corporate world.
Winning the AI products arms race
AI is part of software and product management now. There is no escaping it, so we must all embrace it and learn how to use AI to empower our teams and our users.
In this article and video, Aniket Deosthali, former Chief Product Officer of Walmart, dove into the potential that AI brings for product managers and the challenges that lie ahead of building AI-driven products.
AI Can Help You Ask Better Questions — and Solve Bigger Problems
I’m using AI all the time in my work. One big thing I use it for is brainstorming ideas and problems and solutions. It always leads to expanding the way I’m thinking, like a personal coach:
Most companies still view AI rather narrowly, as a tool that alleviates the costs and inefficiencies of repetitive human labor and increasing organizations’ capacity to produce, process, and analyze piles and piles of data. But when paired with “soft” inquiry-related skills it can help people ask better questions and be more innovative.

Decorify from Wayfair
Wayfair has put out a room decorating AI tool that is pretty interesting. Take a picture of your room and then choose a style and it will give you a bunch of options to decorate with. The scale of my room is off, but the idea is great:
