OpenAI’s Sora has already hit more than 1 million downloads
OpenAI’s social AI video-generating app, Sora, has reached over 1 million downloads in fewer than five days since its launch. That’s according to Sora head Bill Peebles, who said on Wednesday that Sora racked up downloads faster than ChatGPT did at launch despite being an invite-only app.
Meta Tells Its Metaverse Workers to Use AI to ‘Go 5X Faster’
If you work in corporate America, especially in anything tech-related, incorporating AI is becoming a mandate.
“Our goal is simple yet audacious: make Al a habit, not a novelty. This means prioritizing training and adoption for everyone, so that using Al becomes second nature—just like any other tool we rely on,”
Seeing Science Like a Language Model
LLMs may not be just for predictive text—they may be able to change how we approach problems. Rather than boiling down to a single cause, we look at the entire network or system and how all the variables interact. I don’t think this is new, but it is a good use
Language models demonstrate that highly accurate predictions can emerge from statistical patterns across vast datasets, even when we can’t trace exact causal chains.
The Death of Product Management? Think Again.
You can change the title or the people who are doing the work, but in my experience, you will never eliminate the need for someone to balance the needs of the organization, users, and developers.
The idea that product management is obsolete — because other roles or machines can do it — is a dangerous oversimplification. It ignores the unique, irreplaceable role that PMs play in balancing the hidden, conflicting forces within any organization.

Nanoparticle Treatment Reverses Alzheimer’s in Mice
I love to see new breakthroughs in medical treatments for diseases that afflict so many. Alzheimer’s is definitely one of those. And we may be getting very close to treatments that can reverse much of the damage caused by a buildup of waste protein in the brain.
“Our work suggests a different approach: instead of focusing solely on removing what’s already gone wrong inside the brain, we aim to repair the system that keeps the brain healthy in the first place — its blood vessels and protective barrier,” he added.
Why Don’t Women’s Clothes Have Pockets?
Pockets in women’s clothing have come and gone over time, but you probably won’t be surprised to learn that pockets have gotten smaller and less functional in order to focus on form.
Smaller, more form-fitting variants became in vogue, making it more difficult to accommodate large pockets. The line of thought was that they ruined the female silhouette, which brings us to perhaps the main crux of this issue: gender inequality.
