X Challenger Pebble Thinks AI-Generated Posts Can Help Lure Users Away From Elon Musk
The next phase of social media probably has a number of AI twists to it. And that is apparently what Pebble is banking on. It helps you with AI-generated content and then uses AI to surface the most relevant content to you:
Gabor Cselle, Pebble’s CEO, says this and generative AI features to come will enable a kinder, safer, and more fun experience. “We want to make sure that you see great content, that you're posting great content, and that you're interacting with the community,” he says.
Amazon is set to supercharge Alexa with generative AI
If you’ve been wondering when the older digital assistants will be entering the modern age of AI, I think we may finally have some answers.
Amazon’s Alexa is about to come out of its shell, and what emerges could be very interesting. At its fall hardware event Wednesday, the company revealed an all-new Alexa voice assistant powered by its new Alexa large language model. According to Dave Limp, Amazon’s current SVP of devices and services, this new Alexa can understand conversational phrases and respond appropriately, interpret context more effectively, and complete multiple requests from one command.
Bard can now connect to your Google apps and services
Bard got some pretty cool updates this week. Extensions link other tools in the Google suite, like Gmail, Maps, etc, to Bard so you can have an interaction in Bard and call on information from everywhere.
You can also check Bard’s answer by googling it right within the interface. So if you’re concerned that Bard has confidently given you misinformation (just like a high school friend on Facebook), you can quickly check google to see if that information is correct.
Return to Office
Some companies continue to push the idea of returning to the office. Probably because some managers and leaders feel the need to exercise power over employees, because investments in commercial real estate will tank otherwise, and because city economies are suffering without workers commuting. But this doesn’t apply to leaders and executives:
